Technological convergence is the tendency that as technology changes, different technological system sometimes evolve toward performing similar tasks.

Rapid increase in numbers. 



What is IMAX film?
IMAX (an acronym for Image MAXimum) is a motion picture film format and a set of cinema projection standards created
Conventional 35 mm film limited to 6K lines of horizontal resolution
IMAX-format film frame produces approximately 18 thousand lines (18K) of horizontal resolution
IMAX brings higher viewing quality to the audience but requires 65 mm film

Chris Nolan refusing to abandon the traditional medium, claiming that “It’s cheaper to work on film, it’s far better looking

Steven Soderbergh has been a huge fan of the digital format, particularly with
lightweight digital cameras like the Red One, affordability

What is Piracy why is it a threat to the film industry?
Piracy is the the unauthorised use or reproduction of another's work.

Is Piracy theft?
Yes, piracy is theft when you buy DVDs before the film there is a short notice from the police that acknowledges that piracy is stealing.
